Headworks H2S Reductions
Testing before installing the system had maximum H2S readings as high as 95 ppmv and averages as high as 13 over multiple days.
After installation, testing revealed readings of 0 ppmv for both maximum and average H2S.
- 35 watt air ionization modules and low system pressure drop eliminates large 130 HP end of pipe system exhaust air blower and realizes an energy savings of 98 percent.
- Large Sludge Processing and Cake Storage Areas treats 80,713 m3/h (47,500 ft3/min) spending $1328 on power annually and saving $75,000 annually based on $0.09 per kilowatt-hour as compared to a biofilter.
- Carbon emission footprint reduced by 605 tons carbon dioxide per year
- Power cost are projected to rise dramatically while high tech costs (ion tubes) are not.

About Dennis Tulenko
- A Registered Environmental Manager (REM) active in air quality and energy saving solutions for over twenty-five years.
- Holds a Bachelor of Science in Chemical Engineering from Carnegie-Mellon University and a Master of Engineering from the University of Colorado.
- Served IBM, the US Department of Energy, Wheelabrator Air Pollution Control, Concurrent Technology Corporation, and the United States Department of Defense.
- Formed Trans-Tech Energy and Environmental, Inc. in 1997, and is a well recognized authority in commercial air ionization systems and indoor air quality.
